When you ask for a free preview of your site

Step 1 is sent to us when you tap Next:

• your business name
• your trade, and what your business does if you pick Other
• your main suburb
• your email, which is where we send the link to your preview site

Step 2 is optional. Skip what you do not have:

• whether you are on Google already, and your Google profile link or name
• your logo and photos of your work
• anything you write under "Anything else we should know?"
• one extra file, if you add one

After you send your request, three more screens are optional. Skip any of them:

• the services you offer, and your prices or hourly rate if you want them shown
• how long you have been in the trade, what is true for your business and how far you travel
• a few words about your business
• a link to your Facebook, Instagram or current website
• up to five more files, such as a price list or a flyer

With your request we also keep:

• the date and time
• a note of how you found us. That is the website that linked you here and the page you landed on, plus any ad or campaign tag in the link.
• a scrambled code made from your internet address (IP). It stops one connection flooding the form. We never store the address itself.

When you email us

Whatever is in your email. It stays in our mailbox so we can answer you and look back at it.

To build your preview site and email you the link. To follow up about that preview site and answer your questions. If you give us your Google profile, we use the photos and reviews on it to build your site. If you give us a Facebook, Instagram or website link, we use what is public there to build your site. We do not add you to a newsletter and we do not make sales calls. Tell us to stop following up and we stop.

Your request and your files are stored with Cloudflare, the company that also delivers this website. Cloudflare keeps data on servers in many countries, so your details may be stored outside Australia. The files you upload are stored privately. They have no public address and search engines cannot find them. The photos you choose to send are used on your preview site, which is a web page we email you the link to.

We do not sell your details and we do not give them to anyone to advertise to you. A few companies handle them for us so the service can run. Cloudflare stores your request and delivers the site. To build your site we also use software tools from other companies. We give them only what the job needs.

We would hand information to an authority only if the law made us.

This site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google and Google sees your internet address and basic details about your browser. Loading the fonts sends Google nothing else. Google explains what it does with font requests here.

What you type in the form is saved in your browser's own storage on your device, so you do not have to type it again if you close the page. The note of how you found us is kept there too. None of it reaches us until you tap Next. Clear your browser data and it is gone.

The only cookies on this site come from the measurement tools below and from Cloudflare's security check.

We use measurement tools, loaded through Google Tag Manager.

Google Analytics counts visits and shows us how people found us and how they use the site.

Google Ads conversion tracking tells us whether someone who clicked one of our Google ads went on to ask for a preview site. It receives a request reference and your trade, and nothing else you typed.

These tools set cookies. Google may process this data outside Australia, including in the United States. It does not receive your files or your email. You can block these tools in your browser settings or with an ad blocker, and the site works the same.

For as long as we need it to build your preview site and deal with your request, and for as long as you are a customer. Ask us to delete it sooner and we will.

Email hello@tradie3d.com.au from the address you used. You can ask to see what we hold about you. You can ask us to fix it or delete it. We do it within 30 days and it costs you nothing.

Everything travels over an encrypted connection. Your request and your files are not public: reading them needs an access key that only we hold. If your details are ever exposed in a way that could harm you, we tell you as soon as we know.

If you think we have mishandled your details, email us and we answer in writing. If you are not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

If we change this page, we change the date at the top. If the change matters to you, we email you.
