Tradie3D Get my free preview

The short version

  • Tradie3D builds your website and looks after it.
  • Your preview site is free. If you like it, it goes live for A$89 a month.
  • No lock-in: cancel any time with one email.
  • Full refund within 30 days of your first payment.
  • Your .com.au is registered in your name and stays yours if you leave.
  • The website itself goes offline when your subscription ends.
  • We do not promise a position on Google or a number of calls.
  • You also have rights under the Australian Consumer Law that nothing on this page takes away.

1. Who you are dealing with

Tradie3D (ABN 98 174 372 054) runs tradie3d.com.au and provides the service. On this page "we" and "us" mean Tradie3D. "You" means the business that asks for a preview site or subscribes.

We work in writing. Email hello@tradie3d.com.au and you get a written answer. We do not make sales calls.

2. When these terms apply

Asking for a preview site costs nothing and does not commit you to buy. When you ask for one, clauses 3, 10 and 13 apply: what a preview site is, what you send us and who owns what. The rest applies from your first payment. The payment page links here so you can read them first. If you ask, we send you the version that applied on the day you paid.

3. Your free preview site

A preview site shows what your website will look like, built from the details you give us. It is free and we do not ask for a card.

We email you the link within 3 business days of getting your details. Business days are Monday to Friday, not counting public holidays in your state or territory.

If you do not go live, you owe nothing. We may take the preview site down later.

4. What you get when you go live

  • A 3D site built for your trade
  • Your own .com.au, registered in your name (clause 8)
  • Help setting up your Google profile (clause 9)
  • A ready text to ask your customers for reviews
  • Hosting and upkeep, handled by us
  • A launch video for Instagram and TikTok, free when your site goes live

Hosting and upkeep means we keep your site online and working. It is part of your A$89 a month.

Changes to your details, photos, services and areas are included. Email us what you need changed.

The sample sites on tradie3d.com.au show made-up businesses. Your live site is your preview site, finished with your real details.

5. What you pay

A$89 a month. There is no setup fee and no exit fee.

When you want your preview site to go live, we email you a secure payment link. Your subscription starts when you pay. After that, A$89 is taken on the same day each month until your subscription ends. Payments are handled by Square. We never see or store your card number.

A$89 a month is the launch price. A$149 is our standard monthly price after the launch period.

If your subscription starts at A$89, your price stays A$89 for as long as you stay subscribed. If you cancel and come back later, you pay the price shown on our pricing page that day.

After your first payment we register your .com.au. Your site goes live within 3 business days of your first payment. We email you when it is live. If we cannot put your site live, we refund you in full.

If a payment fails, we email you. If it stays unpaid, we may pause your site, and we tell you before we do. Pay what is owing and the site goes back up.

6. Cancelling

There is no lock-in and no minimum term.

Cancel any time with one email to hello@tradie3d.com.au. No forms, no phone calls. We confirm by email to the address you signed up with. If your email came from another address, we check it is really you first.

Your cancellation counts from the day we get your email. No more payments are taken, and your site stays live until the end of the month you have paid for. That is when your subscription ends and the site goes offline. If a payment goes through after we get your email, we refund it.

Cancelling in your first 30 days? Ask for your refund in the same email (clause 7).

7. Refunds

Full refund within 30 days of your first payment. Email us inside those 30 days and we refund everything you have paid, the same way you paid it. You do not have to give a reason. This refund applies once, to your first subscription with us. A refund ends your subscription and the site goes offline. Your domain stays yours.

After the 30 days, if you simply change your mind, a month you have already paid for is not refunded when you cancel.

These rights sit on top of the Australian Consumer Law. If our service fails a consumer guarantee, you keep every remedy the law gives you, whenever that happens.

8. Your domain

Your .com.au is registered in your name from day one. You are the registrant, so the domain is yours and not ours. We look after the registration for you while you are subscribed.

Registration and renewals are included for as long as you stay subscribed.

To register a .com.au the registry needs your ABN, so we ask for it when you go live. The name has to be available and meet the .au registry rules.

If you cancel, the domain stays yours and you take over the renewals. Ask us and we email what you need to move it to any provider you choose. We send it to the address you signed up with. We never charge a fee to release a domain.

Already have a domain? You keep it and we connect your site to it.

9. Your Google profile

We help you set up your Google profile, which Google calls a Google Business Profile. It sits in your own Google account. It is yours and stays yours if you cancel. Google decides how a profile is checked and shown. We do not control that.

10. What you need to do

  • Only ask for a preview site or a website for a business you own or run.
  • Give us true details about your business, including your ABN.
  • If your trade needs a licence, give us the right licence number and tell us straight away if it changes or lapses. We show it on your site. The advertising rules for your trade and state are yours to follow, because you hold the licence.
  • Check your site before it goes live and tell us if anything is wrong.
  • Send us only material you have the right to use, such as your own logo and photos of your own work.
  • Keep reviews real. We show reviews your own customers wrote. We do not write reviews and we do not buy them.
  • Do not ask us to publish anything false or against the law.

11. What we owe you

  • Care and skill in everything we build.
  • A site kept online and working, as part of your A$89 a month.
  • No surprise charges. We never add a fee you did not agree to.
  • We reply to every email within one business day.
  • Your details handled the way our Privacy page says.
  • An email at least 30 days before these terms change in a way that affects you.

12. What we do not promise

We do not promise a position on Google, or how many calls or enquiries you will get. Nobody can honestly promise those. What we do promise is in clauses 4 and 11.

13. Who owns what

Yours: your business name, your logo and photos, your words, your domain, your Google profile, your reviews, and your launch video once we send it to you.

Ours: the preview site and the website we build for you, including design and code. While you are subscribed you have the right to use the website as your business website. When your subscription ends, the website goes offline and that right ends. We do not hand over the site files.

You give us permission to use what you send us to build and run your preview site and your website. Nothing more.

Your site carries one small line at the bottom: "Website by Tradie3D". Name only.

14. When we can pause or end a subscription

Only in these cases:

  • a payment stays unpaid after we have emailed you
  • the site is used for something against the law, or you want us to publish something false and will not fix it
  • we stop offering the service

In the first two cases we email you first and give you a fair chance to put it right. If we stop offering the service, we email you at least 30 days before we stop, and we refund any month you have paid for and not received. In every case your domain and your Google profile stay yours.

15. If something goes wrong

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing on this page takes away a right that law says cannot be taken away. Read everything below with that in mind.

Where the law allows it, and only where it is fair and reasonable, our liability for failing a consumer guarantee is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

Subject to the two paragraphs above, the most we are liable for is the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the problem. We are not liable for lost work or lost profit, except where the Australian Consumer Law says we are. The most you can ever owe us is the monthly payments that are due.

These limits do not apply to anything the law does not let us limit, or to loss caused by our fraud or deliberate wrongdoing.

You are responsible for what you give us. If someone makes a claim against us because of material you knew was false or had no right to use, that claim is yours to answer. An honest mistake does not count. If someone makes a claim against you because of something we added to your site without your say, that claim is ours to answer.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We email you at least 30 days before a change that affects you. If you do not want the change, cancel before it starts. A change never applies backwards, and it never raises your price while you stay subscribed.

17. The ordinary legal bits

  • These terms are governed by the law of the Australian state or territory where your business is based.
  • If a court finds one part of this page cannot be enforced, the rest still stands.
  • If the business changes hands, we tell you first. Your price and your rights go with you, and you can cancel if you would rather not continue.
  • If something outside anyone's control stops us, such as a major outage at a provider, we tell you and get your site back up as soon as we can.
  • What binds us is this page, our pricing page as it stood on the day you paid, and anything we tell you in writing. Nothing here stops you relying on something we actually told you.

18. Complaints

Email hello@tradie3d.com.au and we answer in writing. If you are not happy with our answer, you can contact the consumer affairs or fair trading office in your state or territory.
